2. Do you sell new comic book releases?
No. We do not sell new weekly comic book releases. Our focus is on original comic art and artist-driven collectibles rather than finished, printed comics.
3. Do you sell back issue comic books?
No. We do not sell back issues. While our roots are firmly in comic fandom, Essential Sequential specializes in original artwork and art-related collectibles only.
4. How do I place an order on EssentialSequential.com?
Simply add the artwork or item you’d like to purchase to your cart and follow the checkout process. Once your order is placed, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your order details. You can check your order status by logging into your account and dashboard.
5. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards and commonly used online payment methods. Available options are displayed during checkout.
6. Is my payment information secure?
Yes. All payments are processed through secure, encrypted checkout systems. Essential Sequential does not store your payment information.

Absolutely. All original artwork offered on EssentialSequential.com comes directly from the artists we represent or work with. Authenticity is guaranteed. Any reproductions or Artists Proofs are described as such.
8. How is the artwork displayed on the site?
Artwork images on our site are professionally scanned to accurately represent line work, detail, and condition. Scans allow collectors to see the art as clearly and faithfully as possible. We do adjust contrast of scans to properly show what the art looks like in person.
9. What condition is the original art in?
Each piece is carefully reviewed and accurately described. Because original art varies by age, medium, and use, any notable condition details are clearly noted on the product page.
10. Do you offer commissions or custom artwork?
Yes. We regularly offer commission opportunities with select artists. Availability varies by creator and schedule, and commission listings will appear on the site when open.
11. How is original art packaged for shipping?
Every order is hand-packed by our team using professional, art-safe packing materials. Original art is protected with rigid support and secure packaging designed to prevent bending or damage during transit.

All orders ship from the United States.
13. Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship internationally to many countries. Shipping availability and rates are calculated at checkout based on destination.
14. How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs vary based on destination, size, and value of the artwork. Exact shipping charges are shown during checkout before you complete your purchase.
15. How long does order processing take?
Most orders are processed within a few business days. Once shipped, tracking information will be provided via email.

17. What if my artwork arrives damaged?
In the rare event that an item arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible. We’ll work with you directly to resolve the issue quickly and fairly. Please make sure to photograph the mailing box and art. Please hold onto the box until the claim is made.
18. Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?
Because original art is one-of-a-kind, cancellations or changes may only be possible within a short window after purchase. Please contact us immediately if you need assistance.
19. What is your return policy?
Due to the unique nature of original art, all sales are generally final unless an item arrives damaged or is significantly not as described. Please review our full return policy for details.

Yes. Essential Sequential attends more than 20 in-person comic conventions around the world each year, working directly with artists and collectors.
21. Do you buy original art or collections?
At this time, we primarily sell artwork on behalf of the artists we represent. Purchasing policies may vary, so feel free to reach out if you have questions.

We occasionally run promotions or special offers. Following us on social media or subscribing to our newsletter is the best way to stay informed.

PLEASE NOTE: During conventions that we are attending, Essential Sequential will be delayed in shipped orders out. Check the events page to see where we’ll be traveling to.
If you are interested in paying via check/money order or credit card please email me. Art will be held for 7 days for payment.
Time payments are available.
NJ Residents must add sales 6.625% tax.
Shipping: We are currently working to provide the most accurate information for postage fees. There are a few bugs being worked out so please contact us if you have any questions.
International Shipping: Yes we ship globally. When checking out please click on “display rates” for proper postage and click on your preference. The US only option is for US residents only. Please don’t ask to undervalue a package or for us to send as a gift. Duties and customs fees are the buyers responsibility.
Out of Stock Policy
- Just because the item you ordered is NOT identified as out-of-stock does not necessarily mean that it will be in-stock at the moment you order it. We will notify you if the item you ordered is out-of-stock. We first try to reply via email and give you 3 days to reply. If we have not heard from you we will then try to call you at the numbers you provide with your order. Be sure to give us your current email address and phone number.
- Preorders are reserved with payment up front on a first come, first served basis. You may also request to be placed on a “notify list” and we will let you know when art is in-stock and available for delivery. Be advised that prepaid orders always get priority for delivery.
